Lightstrike is a wine fault caused by wine being exposed to ultraviolet and/ or blue light. Wines that are lightly affected will lose their fruitiness. With increased light exposure, volatile sulphur components will form causing the wine to smell like stinky cheese, rotting cabbage, sewage or onion. See this article for more.
